Occupational Health and Safety Structure
SCGP drives occupational health and safety management through the SCGP Safety Management Committee, Safety Culture Management Committee, Contractor Safety Management Committee, Transportation Safety Management Committee, Office Safety Committee and Intelligent Safety Management Platform Committee, to establish policies, strategies, short-term plans, medium-term plans and long-term plans, targets, indicators as well as target achievement monitoring and analyze the results for effectiveness improvement.
Occupational Health and Safety Management Framework
SCGP manages the occupational health and safety management in line with “the SCG Occupational Health and Safety Framework” and supervised by the Safety Performance Assessment Program (SPAP). We continually enhance the safety standard by focusing on participation of employees and contractors at all levels with knowledge and understanding.
Employee Well-being Post COVID-19
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, SCGP has prioritized the well-being of its employee, focusing on their working conditions, physical and mental health. SCGP has provided support to employees in various critical areas, including;
Workplace: Providing new workspaces such as co-working spaces and collaborative zones.
Economic: Providing financial assistance in special cases to support living expenses, due to the increased cost of living and inflation.
Physical health: Supporting employee’s physical health by providing access to fitness centers, sporting facilities, and fitness classes to improve strength and flexibility.
Mental health: Implementing the SCGP Employee Wellness Program, offers online counseling services by experts from iSTRONG, self-assessment tools, access to mental health resources, 24-hour emergency hotline services, and online seminars on mental health topics related to work and daily life.
SCG Safety Framework and SPAP
SCGP adheres the occupational health and safety as core values of operation, the management plays an important role in demonstrating a commitment and prioritization of occupational health and safety (Management Leadership), providing concrete support in accordance with Safety Culture & Management Leadership Guideline.
SCGP is established structure, function and committee in occupational health and safety with clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of those involved in order to ensure that occupational health and safety is a line responsibility and that employees and contractors are aware of and able to fulfill their responsibilities in occupational health and safety
To ensure that the occupational health and safety management system is implemented with concrete results by setting short-term plans, medium-term plans, long-term plans and action plans, target, proactive (leading) and reactive (lagging) key performance indicators and deployed at the appropriate department/ personnel level so that they may be used to measure, monitoring performance for continuous improvement.
SCGP sets guidelines for developing the knowledge and competency of employees, contractors and others relevant parties to raise awareness and reduce operation health and safety incidents such as training courses on the basis of the law, safety training according to the risky work with the following actions:
SCGP conducts a compliance assessment and efficiency of occupational health and safety management system, then define corrective and preventive actions for continuous improvement. SCGP companies are required to conduct internal audits every year and external audits in the compliance issues at least every 2 years.
In order to ensure effective for incidents response and prevention that may cause both work-related injury and occupational illness. SCGP manages in accordance with Safety Data Reporting and Incident Investigation Standard which is the procedures to investigate work-related injury, occupational illness and any incidents.
SCGP manages OHS risks through the process of identifying, assessment what could cause harm in workplace and lead to elimination, reduction and control of hazards or risks into acceptable level in every activity, process areas and products.
SCGP implemented occupational health and safety for new projects and any changes that may affect occupational health and safety by having impact assessment and to lead to the elimination, reduction or control of the effects that may be caused by the change Including Pre-Start Up Safety Review according to SCGP Management of Change Standard.
To ensure that all SCGP’s companies have the availability of resources and can manage the resources needed to response and manage emergency related to the company’s risks such as fire, explosion, chemical spills. We have to develop emergency planning and respond procedures as well as provide training and emergency drill at least once a year.
SCGP manages and ensure the reliability of the machines, tools and equipment used in the operation that can cause severe damage to life, property as well as the disruption of the production process.
In order to ensure effective occupational health management and achieve the goal of being occupational illness and disease free. SCGP undertakes occupational health management which covers health risk management, industrial hygiene monitoring, health surveillance, management of ill health, occupational illness investigation and reporting as well as promotion of good health and wellbeing.
SCGP has the Contractor Safety Management Committee (CSM) to oversee all procedural steps; the contractor’s selection process, prepare OHS criteria/ requirements document for OHS criteria introduced in procurement and contractual requirements until hand-over and contractor’s performance evaluation which continue improvement.

To support the implementation of the risk management system for occupational health and safety according to the hierarchy of controls, SCGP has establish and implement in accordance with safety standard for risky work such as Electrical Safety, Safety Rules, Energy Isolation and Lockout Tagout System, Work Permit System, Lifting Safety Chemical Management, etc.
Transportation Safety
SCGP is committed to manage the transportation safety and vehicle use to achieve the “Zero road accident” goal by raising and proceeding through "Safety standards in transport and use of vehicles" to ensure the highest safety to all company transportation contractors and general road users.

Contractor Safety Management (CSM)
SCGP has the Contractor Safety Management Committee (CSM) to oversee all procedural steps: the contractor’s selection process with prescreening of contractors for safety performance, preparing OHS criteria/ requirements document for OHS criteria introduced in procurement and contractual requirements for agreements , safety training, controlling work operations until handover, and the contractor's performance evaluation, which continues improvement.
